Lab for New Teaching envisions education as a deeply human practice where critical dialogue and creative hope inspire educators to reclaim, reimagine, and transform teaching.
The Lab is committed to professional learning that is:
- Affordable - We will never charge exorbitant prices for professional learning. Additionally, we offer discounts for teachers without professional development funding, adjunct, part-time and contingent faculty, as well as students of education.
- Progressive - Our theoretical grounding in principles of critical pedagogy provides both intellectual depth and practical frameworks for transforming the work of teaching.
- Hopeful - We hold that teachers are education's greatest leaders, and that they should have access to professional learning that's collaborative, relevant, fascinating, and constructive.

Lab for New Teaching creates collaborative spaces for K-20 educators to engage in critical reflection, meaningful dialogue, and collective reimagining of educational practices. We equip educators with the community, theoretical frameworks, and practical tools to center human connection in their teaching while challenging standardized approaches. Through our events and ongoing community, we nurture both the critical consciousness and creative hope necessary for educators to sustain themselves and work toward more equitable, accessible, and liberatory educational futures.
